Inclusive Arts is a partnership run by Jude Bitton and Fiona McVey following social enterprise principles. Our mission is to provide “Arts for All” making all projects inclusive, aimed at anyone who has a creative and inquisitive mind.
Inclusive Arts is based at Heene Gallery, in a beautiful Victorian building in Worthing’s west end. Inclusive Arts use this atmospheric building as a base to provide an arts, therapy and teaching space for the community of Worthing and beyond.
We work with local artists, performers and therapists to develop a wide range of classes, workshops, and events that are accessible for all.
Jude Bitton started painting when she was 2. She studied Textiles & Fashion & then went onto train as a Teacher.
For many years she has taught Art as a Therapy to Disabled people. She has written a Craft book & travelled around the World.
Passing on new skills to others is one of her greatest motivations. Setting up the Partnership as ‘Inclusive Arts’ has been a long term plan which is now becoming a reality. Linking up with Artists, Therapists & Performers has been a truly inspirational experience.
Developing Workshops, Classes & Exhibitions for our Community is our main part of our business, but with Fun & enjoyment too !!.
Fiona McVey has taught mixed arts and crafts to people with disabilities in West Sussex for the last 25 years. Specialising in traditional crafts and textiles, including silk painting, embroidery, dress making, she is regularly updating her skills and learning new techniques.
Fiona is passionate about the arts being accessible to everyone. Inclusive Arts is giving her the opportunity to realise this aim.
Fiona and Jude have many years’ experience in exhibition staging, running classes and workshops throughout the South East.
